EZ-Runner (#1) Parts Sold & Returned/ Purchases & Returns

Purpose
This card provides a full view of how inventory moves through your business, from vendor purchase to customer sale, and how returns affect both sides. Monitoring them side by side helps you connect sales performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Metrics

  • # Parts Purchased vs. Sold – Tracks how many parts enter and leave inventory.

  • # Parts Returned to Vendor vs. Returned to Stock – Shows where problems occur: supplier quality vs. customer issues.

  • % Return Parts Purchased vs. Sold – Measures both vendor performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Sold Amount & Return Amount – Reveals the financial impact of both outbound returns (lost revenue) and inbound returns (supplier disputes).

  • Shiping Network Averages – Easily identify sustained trends in purchases, sales, and returns.

Insights to Look For

  • Upstream vs. downstream issues:

    • High % Return Parts Purchased points to vendor quality or sourcing problems.

    • High % Return Parts Sold points to product issues, mislistings, or customer dissatisfaction.

  • Revenue protection: Comparing Sold Amount to Return Amount highlights how returns are eating into profits.

  • Balance of workflow: If purchased returns remain high while sales returns also increase, the issue may be systemic (example: vendor defects making their way through quality control to customers).

  • Operational efficiency: Lower returns on either side free up labor, reduce restocking, and increase net revenue.
