EZ-QC (Operations #2a-b) In Stock Orders Business Hours Time to Assign

Purpose
This set of cards analyzes how quickly in-stock orders are assigned after creation. It provides both a monthly time breakdown and a production-type comparison, helping operations teams measure workflow speed and pinpoint where assignment delays occur.

Key Metrics

  • Order Count – Total number of in-stock orders assigned within each time bucket (<1 hour, 1–2 hours, 2–3 hours, etc.).

  • % of Total – Share of total assigned orders completed within each time frame.

  • Order Count % Diff vs Prior Month – Measures improvement or decline in assignment speed month-over-month.

  • Production Type Comparison – Shows how quickly orders are assigned across departments (Yard, Dismantle, Warehouse).

Insights to Look For

  • Assignment speed: A high percentage of orders assigned within 1–2 hours indicates strong workflow efficiency.

  • Process bottlenecks: Large shares in longer time buckets (4+ hours) may point to staffing issues, communication lags, or system delays.

  • Department differences: Comparing Yard vs. Dismantle assignment times can reveal where workload or coordination challenges exist.

  • Month-over-month improvement: Positive trends in faster assignment categories show operational gains, while declines suggest backlogs or resource shortages.
