EZ-QC (Sales #11) Bottom "X" Parts Sold

Purpose
This card identifies the least frequently sold parts, giving visibility into slow-moving or low-demand inventory. Like the Top Parts card, it includes a slider control that lets you select how many of the bottom performers to display (Bottom 5, Bottom 10). Cancelled orders are excluded to ensure the results reflect only completed sales.

Key Metrics

  • Parts Sold (Sum) – Total units sold for each part type, typically very low (often just 1 or 2 units).

  • Bottom X Selection – Slider allows adjusting the number of parts shown (e.g., Bottom 5 or Bottom 10).

  • Part Categories – Examples shown include Exhaust System, Engine Crossmember Front, Front End Assembly, and Truck Cab.

  • Monthly Trends – Color-coded bars by month highlight when, if at all, these parts were sold.

Insights to Look For

  • Dead inventory: Parts consistently at the bottom may represent stock that isn’t moving, tying up space and cash flow.

  • One-off sales: Some parts may sell only once in a period, which can help refine purchasing and stocking decisions.

  • Market demand check: Cross-reference bottom-sold parts with industry data to confirm if low sales are unique to your yard or an overall trend.

  • Disposition strategy: Decide whether to continue stocking these parts, reduce purchases, or bundle them in sales promotions to clear inventory.

  • Cycle-time impact: Very low-selling parts may still require processing time and labor — identifying them helps assess efficiency trade-offs.
