EZ-QC (Sales #5) YTD Running Totals

Purpose
This card tracks year-to-date (YTD) progress for both order amounts and parts sold. It provides a rolling view of sales performance over time, allowing managers to quickly see whether monthly sales activity is adding up to strong cumulative growth.

Key Metrics

  • Order Amount (Bar Chart) – Monthly dollar value of completed orders.

  • YTD Parts Sold Running Total (Green Line) – Cumulative number of parts sold throughout the year.

  • Parts Sold (Blue Line) – Monthly parts sold figures, shown alongside order amount for context.

  • Grouping by Month – Displays data by order create date, month over month.

Insights to Look For

  • Growth trajectory: The green cumulative line should trend steadily upward. Flattening indicates sales momentum is slowing.

  • Monthly consistency: Bars show whether monthly revenue is holding steady, growing, or dipping.

  • Volume vs. value alignment: Comparing the parts sold line to dollar order amounts can reveal if sales growth is driven by higher volume, higher prices, or both.

  • Seasonal trends: Spikes or dips in certain months may highlight seasonal buying behaviors or operational bottlenecks.
